On 06.05.13 Siliguri Metropolitan Police of NJP OP arrested one driver of vehicle No. WB 73B 5415 (Tata Ace)  who stole away the vehicle. The vehicle was also recovered.  The investigation of the case is proceeding.

On 29.04.13 Siliguri Metropolitan Police of NJP OP arrested one person and recovered 792 cartons of Beer cans worth 9.5 lakhs which is stolen property. The investigation of the case is proceeding.

On 28.04.13 Siliguri Metropolitan Police of NJP OP have arrested three persons and recovered seven LCD’s worth more than two lakhs which was stolen property. The investigation of the case is proceeding.

On 23.04.2013 Detective Department of  Siliguri Metropolitan Police working on secret information apprehended one Sushil Majumder (47 yrs) S/O Biswanath Majumder of Kotwali, Coochbehar and recovered three bags containing eight packets of Ganja weighing 28 kgs at Jalpaimore, Siliguri. Investigation of the case is proceeding.

On  07.04.2013 Siliguri Metropolitan Police of Siliguri P.S arrested one Bablu Shah of Hydarpara, P.S Bhaktinagar  and recovered a two one shutter fire arms, eight 8mm live rounds and five .38 live rounds.  Investigation of the case is proceeding.

On 03.04.2013, Detective Department of Siliguri Metropolitan Police busted an IPL betting racket being done through mobiles phones clandestinely at Pradhan Nagar. During the raid three persons (two from Kolkata) were arrested and 10 mobile phones, Rs. 64,000 Cash and Laptop were recovered. Investigation is on to unravel the entire gang.
